Pakistan’s Suprem court has disqualified ex- PM, NawarSherif

Pakistan’s supremecourt has disqualified the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif from his position.

It was reported by the international media that, Mr Sharif was ordered to step down as prime minister postlast yearamid corruption allegations that he denies.

According to this court order, Mr Sharif will not be eligible to lead the PMLN party for the next election.

With his dismissal from the party, all decisions taken by Mr Sherif of the party were declared void, also the nominations were nulled, for candidates in Senate elections due in fortnight.

The election commission of Pakistan, is informed to remove the name of Mr NawasSherif as a leader of the PMLN party from all official records, the chief Justice SaquibNisar informed the media.
